Sheep and Moose
Grizzly Ranch is fortunate to be surrounded
by excellent sheep and moose habitat. We run 10-day hunts
primarily based out of spike camps. Again, experience and
hard work have allowed us to achieve a very high rate of success.
Please note that our sheep hunts are for the aggressive hunter
who is in better than average physical condition. Our success
on these hunts runs around 90%.

Elk
We base our elk hunts right out of the ranch.
The elk we hunt are residents of this area year round. While
we occasionally find them on the ranch, most are taken in
the adjacent wilderness area. The herd has been in excellent
shape for quite a few years and supports a strong bull-to-cow
ratio.
Archery
Archery elk season runs though September. The
rut is on and the bulls are bugling, gathering cows, and fighting
off rivals. An exciting time to be in the woods! These are
six-day hunts with a maximum of four hunters per hunt.

Rifle
Rifle season runs October 1-21. We offer three 6-day
hunts and again limit the number of hunters to a maximum of four.
We have been seeing and harvesting many mature five and six point
bulls. If you are in reasonable shape and can handle your weapon,
you should have an excellent chance to harvest a nice bull.

Late Elk
Mid- November to early December is our late elk season.
Most of the elk have migrated down to their winter range, and chances
of harvesting a large, trophy type bull are high.

Cow Elk
These are four-day hunts and run mid-November into
December. If you are just interested in meat or want to introduce
a young sportsman to elk hunting, we would highly recommend this
hunt.

Mule Deer
We hunt mule deer horseback from the ranch.
We are fortunate that this is the first private property the
deer hit when they migrate down from the high country. While
some continue to move further down country to winter, many
remain on the ranch and surrounding wilderness. These are
four-day hunts with 4-5 hunters per hunt.

Antelope
3-day Antelope hunts can also be provided. These are
four-wheel drive hunts on both public and private land. A trespass
fee may be required.
