Ready and Waiting to take you on your hunt
License Information

All non-resident licenses in Wyoming are presently issued on a lottery basis. The most important thing of concern to hunters applying for permits is getting your applications in by the deadline and properly identifying the areas to be hunted.

Elk License applications must ARRIVE in Cheyenne by January 31st. The deadline for deer and antelope is March 15th; sheep, moose and goat is February 28th.

The area varies greatly as to the type and time to be hunted. The best way to get this information is to check with us about the time and type of hunting you are interested in and we will help you with the areas.

Booklets of license applications may be obtained by requesting the Non-resident Big Game Hunting Applications and Information Booklet from the State of Wyoming Game and Fish Dept.

Write to the following address, or visit their web site. Wyoming Game and Fish Department

State of Wyoming Game and Fish Department
5400 Bishop Blvd.
Cheyenne, Wyoming 82006-0001

Telephone: 307.777.4600

Conservation Stamps are required by the State and may be purchased upon arrival. Fishing licenses may also be purchased upon arrival.

Most hunters find it more convenient to send their applications to us to fill in the areas and check them for accuracy. We will forward them to Cheyenne for you. Please allow adequate time for processing.
